Herbalist Apprentice Program 2022
Are you curious about how to use the herbs or plants in your kitchen and backyard but don’t know how to get started? If so, come join Fire Ring Farm and Herbal Bones Art in a year-long Herbalist Apprenticeship Program. This program is designed for those with a serious interest in introductory herbology. Students will generally meet once a month at Fire Ring Farm, with the capability to adapt to Zoom, as needed.
Embark on your journey to becoming an herbalist in this introductory program that focuses on growing and using herbs in Southern New England. As a student, you will be reading, learning, discussing and working hands-on with the herbs. All students will receive all 12 printed lessons and many of the herbs discussed in the lessons.
Come join Nancy, Erin, and Meg, who are all trained in Rosemary Gladstar’s The Science and Art of Herbalism. Nancy is the owner of Fire Ring Farm and has been an herbalist for over 10 years. She is trained in how to use the herbs, and grows them sustainably on the farm using biodynamic growing techniques. Erin is Nancy’s daughter and herbal apprentice; and is an aromatherapist and reflexologist. She has worked over 20 years in reproductive health care and is a social justice-focused trainer and educator. Meg lives on the edge of the physical and liminal; she is an energy worker, painter, environmentalist, and intuitive, and has completed multiple Wheel of the Year and herbal programs. Nancy, Erin, and Meg are all reiki practitioners with over 30 years of reiki support between them.
If you are interested in this apprenticeship program, plan on attending our pre-class meeting February 20th via Zoom to learn more about the program and expectations of the students.
Email fireringfarmcsa@gmail.com to sign up, ask questions, learn more, etc.
As Rosemary Gladstar says “Herbalism is for everyone interested in self-health, well being, and healing and is easy for everyone to learn.” Our intention is to hold space for you to grow into your own relationship to the plants and herbology.
